About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Architectural Technologist and BIM Lead to join our Design team in the Architecture Group, based in the Halifax office.

Your Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Architectural Technologist and BIM Lead, you will be responsible for:

• Assisting in the preparation and review of contract drawings, details, and sketches with a focus on quality and scheduled deadlines of project deliverables.

• Implementing processes and improving tools in REVIT to facilitate consistent and efficient drawing production.

• Communicating with other team members and becoming familiar with EXP standards to complete assignments and projects in a timely manner.

• Mentoring and supporting designers in the use of drawing production tools and processes.

• Becoming familiar with corporate technology tools and advocating for their use within the local office. Working with proposal teams, projects teams, and clients to ensure clear and aligned project scopes around technology requirements.

• Leading and managing BIM related tasks on multiple, large scope, complex Projects.

• Serving as a technical advisor to Clients and Project teams in matters related to BIM and digital delivery.

• Candidates must also have a thorough knowledge of building systems and detailing, with the ability to work independently, developing and coordinating contract documents and document checking.

• Working in a collaborative environment with the Project Manager, Architect, and other Technical and Design Staff

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Minimum 10 years of proficient experience in BIM 360, REVIT and architectural design with exceptional skills in the production and coordination of contract documents.

• Knowledge and understanding of architectural standards, building sciences, construction technologies and practices.

• Proficiency in Autodesk design and construction products including BIM 360, REVIT, AutoCAD, and Revisto is required.

• Ability to work with a team to produce working drawings and 3D models of architectural designs for innovative multi-disciplinary projects.

• Excellent verbal and written skills to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and staff; a "team player" approach.

• Self-motivated and self-starter with a strong work ethic.

• Good time management skills and able to work in a fast-paced environment simultaneously supporting multiple projects.

• Ability to receive criticism and respond appropriately and professionally, inspire confidence and garner trust and respect with the project team and with clients.
