Job Summary
The Royal Bank of Canada is seeking an experienced Accounts Officer to join their team. As a key member of the Special Loans and Advisory Services (SLAS) Group, this role will be responsible for providing administrative support to account managers and assisting in the day-to-day management of the area.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a first point of contact for account managers and provide administrative support as required.
- Assist in the day-to-day management of the area, including creating capacity by adapting effective workflow systems and processes.
- Proactively identify and address operational, credit administration, and administrative issues for the unit.
- Ensure consistency of processes and technology, and champion platform issues and initiatives.
- Provide administrative support with Microsoft and web-based applications, including managing files and records.
- Support the onboarding of new staff, manage group expenses, and pay invoices.
- Maintain a high level of organizational awareness to facilitate duties for the team.
Requirements
- Organizational awareness and familiarity with Bank systems, or high aptitude to learn new systems.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel.
- Self-driven with capability of managing multiple priorities.
- Ability to take ownership and responsibility for issues and follow them through to completion.
- Work with a sense of urgency and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail.
