Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Child Development Specialist to join our team at Little Galaxy Childcare Inc. As a key member of our childcare program, you will play a vital role in supporting the growth and development of young children.

About the Role

This is a permanent full-time position, working 40 hours per week. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, a passion for early childhood education, and a commitment to providing high-quality care and support to children aged 0-12 years.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess children's developmental needs and create personalized learning plans to promote their physical, cognitive, emotional, and social growth.
  • Develop and implement engaging child-care programs that cater to diverse interests and abilities.
  • Lead activities, including storytelling, singing, and outings, to stimulate children's creativity and curiosity.
  • Monitor children's progress, identifying potential learning or behavioral challenges, and provide regular reports to parents or guardians.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with colleagues and community service providers to ensure seamless support for children and families.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment, adhering to all health and safety protocols.
  • Organize activities for school-age children before and after regular school hours, promoting their academic and personal growth.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of other early childhood educators and assistants.
Requirements
  • Degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in early childhood education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
