Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Early Childhood Educator to join our team as a Child Development Specialist. This is a permanent position with a salary range of $45,000 to $55,000 per year, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers in a safe and hygienic manner
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development
  • Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers to ensure a positive and productive work environment
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote child development
  • Lead activities that stimulate creativity, imagination, and exploration, such as storytelling, singing, and arts and crafts
  • Encourage children to express themselves through various forms of media and creative expression
  • Guide children in developing good eating, dressing, and toileting habits
  • Monitor children's progress and prepare reports for parents or guardians
  • Establish guidelines for behavior and maintain a safe and healthy environment

Requirements:

  • College diploma or equivalent in Early Childhood Education
  • 1-2 years of experience working with children in a child care setting
  • Member of the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE)
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and community service providers
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Physical stamina to keep up with the demands of working with young children
