Job Title: Apprentice Electrician

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Apprentice Electrician to join our team at EMA ELECTRIC LTD.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, including electrical controls and panel boxes. They will also participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees, and have the opportunity to work with a diverse team.

Responsibilities:
  • Install electrical controls and panel boxes
  • Replace and repair electrical controls and panel boxes
  • Design and construct single-phase service for single or multimeter installations
  • Test and measure voltage, loads, ground faults integrity of circuits
  • Troubleshoot and isolate faults
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience
  • Participation in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees
  • Participation in a government or community program or initiative that supports youth employment
  • Participation in a government or community program or initiative that supports Indigenous people
  • Permanent employment
  • English language proficiency
  • 35 to 40 hours per week
