Welding and Fabrication Opportunities

Tolko Industries is seeking a skilled Certified Welder to join our team in Armstrong, British Columbia.

About the Role

  • As a Certified Welder, you will be responsible for the layout, fitting, and fabrication of metal components to assemble structural forms such as machinery frames, platforms, handrails, machine guarding, and piping.
  • You will also be responsible for repairing metal components and infrastructure using gas, arc-air, MIG, TIG, and electrode as required.
  • In addition, you will read blueprints and interpret OEM maintenance information to complete work to mill standards.

Requirements

  • Experience as an A-level Welder with a valid Interprovincial ticket.
  • Commitment to working safely.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) - preferably JD Edwards.
  • Fabricator endorsement, millwright experience, and previous experience in a forest products environment is considered an asset.
