Job Title: Second Cook

We are seeking a skilled Second Cook to join our culinary team at Nita Lake Lodge - Hotel. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
  • Order supplies and equipment as needed
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient operations
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment
  • Organize buffets and banquets to ensure timely and efficient service
  • Manage kitchen operations to meet the needs of our guests
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain attention to detail
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Work Environment:

Our kitchen is a fast-paced and physically demanding environment. You will be required to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and work in a team to meet the needs of our guests.
