Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Procurement and Project Execution Specialist to join our team at Conseil scolaire francophone de la Colombie-Britannique. In this key role, you will oversee all aspects of contracts management, procurement processes, and project controls for our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement Management:
  • Develop effective procurement strategies considering the specific needs of each project.
  • Publish tenders to qualified suppliers and coordinate communication to ensure they understand project requirements and evaluation criteria.
  • Review and assess proposals and tenders with the Project Management Office (PMO) to select the best suppliers.
  • Analyze contracts to ensure clear terms and conditions for all parties and identify potential risks.

Project Controls:

  • Review budgets prepared by quantity surveyors to ensure realism and alignment with project objectives.
  • Analyze contractor change orders and claims to evaluate their financial and temporal impact.
  • Monitor cost developments throughout the project and propose corrective measures to stay within budgetary limits.
  • Develop detailed schedules for each project phase and monitor progress against established timelines.

Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
