  • Farm Credit Canada seeks an experienced professional to manage and develop a portfolio of agribusiness and agri-food customers in your region.

This position is designated bilingual (English and French), requiring the ability to communicate in both official languages.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Build relationships with entrepreneurs, industry leaders, and business executives as you manage a complex portfolio of agribusiness and agri-food customers.
  2. Develop and execute strategies for marketing financing packages to businesses that enhance Canadian agriculture.
  3. Assess the appropriate level of due diligence required for complex loan applications, negotiate agreements, and evaluate market potential in your geographic area.
  4. Develop a network of referral sources to increase FCC business opportunities with a focus on staying highly visible in the marketplace.

Requirements:

  • A sharp eye for identifying opportunities with key prospects.
  • Professional consultative sales and business development practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of local agribusiness and agri-food industries.
  • Strong communication skills when dealing with leaders and executives of complex businesses.
  • An aptitude for financial and credit risk analyses and lending proposals.
  • Confidence in negotiations with industry leaders, including venture and capital providers.

Education and Experience:

  • An undergraduate degree and eight or more years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; advanced education an asset.
  • Experience negotiating financing packages with entrepreneurs and executives, including venture and equity capital providers.
