About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Content Writer to join our editorial team at Wealthsimple. As a key member of our content creation team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a content strategy that engages and educates our customers about personal finance and investing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and write high-quality, engaging, and informative content for our website, social media, and other channels.
  • Collaborate with our product, investment research, and portfolio management teams to ensure that our content meets the needs of our business.
  • Work with our UX team to create in-app content from education pieces.
  • Coordinate with our social team to translate educational topics into social-first content.
  • Own stories from concept to publication.
  • Make flowcharts and other visual content to help explain complex financial concepts.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience as a writer, with at least one year of experience with financial content.
  • Excellent writing abilities and an understanding of the world of finance.
  • The ability to explain complex financial concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Experience getting the information you need from subject-matter experts.
  • Ability to turn mediocre content into something exceptional.
  • Creativity and a passion for publishing high-quality content.
