Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Hemodialysis Unit. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing hemodialysis, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients' health conditions and develop individualized care plans to meet their bio-psycho-social needs.
  • Administer hemodialysis treatments and provide ongoing care and support to patients.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and coordinate patient transfers.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families on hemodialysis and related health issues.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Member of the Order of Quebec Nurses (O.I.I.Q.)
  • DEC in Nursing
  • Minimum of two years' experience in different sectors of a hospital
  • Minimum of six months experience in hemodialysis
  • Knowledge of Cree culture and social and health issues in Eeyou Istchee is an asset
Working Conditions

This position includes on-call periods and requires flexibility to work 6 shifts of 12-hours and 1 shift of 8-hours for each pay period.

Fluency in English is required, and fluency in Cree or French is an asset.
