Job Title: Nurse - Renal Health Hope Center

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse to join our team at the Cree Board of Health and Social Services of James Bay (CBHSSJB). As a Renal Health Hope Center Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality nursing care to patients with renal health needs.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing patients' health needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and providing education and support to patients and their families. You will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery and excellent patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate patients' health needs and develop individualized care plans
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Assess patients' suitability for home hemodialysis programs
  • Provide training and support to patients on hemodialysis equipment and vascular access
Requirements:
  • Member in good standing of the O.I.I.Q
  • DEC in nursing
  • Three (3) years of experience as a nurse, including two (2) years in different sectors of a hospital or clinics in CBHSSJB and one (1) year in Hemodialysis
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of Cree culture and social and health issues in Eeyou Istchee (asset)
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Good resistance to stress
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
