Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Legal Assistant - Document Support Specialist to join our After Hours Document Support Centre. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, producing high volumes of quality work under tight deadlines. The ideal candidate will be a team player with exceptional technical skills, including proficiency in MS Office, iManage, and other unique applications used by our practice areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Creating, revising, and formatting documents to Firm standards
  • Converting PDF to Word or Excel documents, cleaning and formatting the conversion
  • Running various blacklines/comparisons of documents
  • Troubleshooting problem documents
  • Providing primary document support to legal assistants and legal professionals within the Firm
  • Ensuring work product is high quality and technical skills are kept up to date
Requirements

The successful incumbent will have a Community College Certificate in a Legal Secretarial Assistant program or equivalent, strong technical skills, and a minimum of five years of experience in a Legal Assistant role. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is acceptable.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent client service and team-oriented skills, with the ability to take initiative and work independently. Strong attention to detail, superior organizational skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
