Job Summary:

The Culinary Innovation Specialist supports the corporate chef in developing innovative culinary solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements culinary concepts, working closely with sales and R&D teams.
  • Assists in the creation of gold standard prototypes, supporting product development and customer ideation.
  • Executes concept development for sales and marketing programs, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Provides culinary guidance to scientists on specific projects, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Assists in the execution of culinary customer presentations and marketing programs, driving business results.
  • Maintains culinary center cleanliness, performing cleaning duties as needed.
  • Tracks and maintains inventory of culinary samples, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Assists in ideation and prototype sessions for customers, driving innovation and growth.
  • Provides culinary support to other departments for special projects, demonstrating adaptability and teamwork.
  • Stays up-to-date in culinary skills, applying knowledge to drive business success.
  • Manages multiple projects and timelines, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Maintains accurate records, providing visibility into project progress and outcomes.
  • Performs other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to excellence.
  • Works effectively in a team environment, fostering collaboration and driving business results.
  • Understands and follows all security policies, ensuring a safe and secure work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Culinary or food science degree/diploma from a recognized university or college.
  • General food science courses or technical food science experience is an asset.
  • Experience working in a culinary environment is an asset.
  • Self-motivated and a team player, with strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and meet timelines consistently, with computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel) an asset.
  • Member of RCA or CCF is an asset.
