Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Culinary Innovation Specialist to join our team at Custom Culinary. As a key member of our culinary team, you will support our corporate chef in developing innovative food solutions and products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist chefs in developing gold standards and supporting innovation initiatives.
  • Develop gold standard prototypes and aid in the development process.
  • Execute concept development for sales and marketing programs.
  • Provide culinary guidance to scientists on specific projects.
  • Assist in the execution of culinary customer presentations and marketing programs.
  • Creation and preparation of dry and liquid lab samples.
  • Maintain culinary center cleanliness and perform cleaning duties as needed.
  • Responsible for tracking and maintaining inventory of culinary samples.
  • Assist in ideations and prototype sessions for customers.
  • Provide culinary support to other departments for special projects.
  • Stay up-to-date with culinary skills and knowledge.
  • Manage multiple projects and timelines.
  • Maintain accurate records.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Culinary or food science-related degree or diploma from a recognized university or college.
  • General food science courses or technical food science is an asset.
  • Experience working in a culinary environment is an asset.
  • Self-motivated and a team player with strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and meet timelines consistently.
  • Computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel) are an asset.
  • Member of RCA or CCF is an asset.
