About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Master Halco. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and compliance of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate all laboratory and technical activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain the Composite Panel Association (CPA) / Environmentally Preferable Products (EPP) Certification Program.
  • Assist in testing and evaluating new products to ensure they meet quality and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain and calibrate testing equipment throughout the plant to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Assist production in determining if products meet specifications and standards.
  • Collect and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Manage and implement an efficient Quality Management System (QMS) throughout the organization.
  • Report on the performance of the QMS and ensure compliance by all departments.
  • Collect, analyze, and communicate customer requirements, complaints, and feedback.
  • Arrange and conduct ISO audits and management review meetings.
  • Deal with customer complaints, claims, returns, and technical requests.
  • Coordinate and provide technical assistance with product trials.
  • Provide technical assistance throughout the plant as required.
  • Oversee testing programs and calibration programs.
  • Assist in the evaluation of nonconforming products.
  • Evaluate and develop improved techniques for control of quality and reliability.
  • Work with the Lab Technician to complete daily production testing and reporting.
  • Report any products inspected or tested that are out of specification.
  • Ensure up-to-date specifications and standards are issued and followed.
Requirements
  • Five (5) years of experience in industrial particleboard/treating/laminating manufacturing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written).
  • Exceptional organizational, time management, trouble shooting, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with people of all levels and departments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
  • Strong analytical skills and detail-oriented.
Work Environment

This role requires the ability to sit, climb, stand, lift, and/or move 50lbs.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position with a standard Monday through Friday schedule.
