About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse to join our team at Coast Mental Health. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality care to individuals with mental health challenges, working in a supported housing setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide psychiatric assessment, pharmacotherapy, and crisis intervention to clients
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, working collaboratively with the team
  • Conduct regular assessments of client progress and adjust care plans as needed
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Provide education and support to clients and their families
Requirements
  • Graduation from an approved school of Nursing with current practicing membership with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
  • At least three years of recent related experience in mental health and addiction, either in a hospital or community setting
  • Ability to provide/obtain a valid First Aid Certificate and a valid Class 5 B.C. Driver's License
Preferred Qualifications
  • Broad knowledge of nursing theory and practice within a client-centered, trauma-informed model of care
  • Knowledge of mental illness and substance use treatment, as well as psychopharmacology
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
