International Payroll Tax Specialist

As a key member of the KPMG-Canada global mobility team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll remittances for our clients. Your expertise in expatriate payroll compliance will be essential in maintaining our high standards of client service and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and plan the expatriate payroll compliance needs of clients, ensuring all requirements are met and deadlines are adhered to.
- Process and/or review the full cycle processing of multiple, medium to high complexity client payrolls in a timely and accurate manner, including processing across multiple provinces and cross-border transactions.
- Prepare payroll gross-up tax calculations and conduct payroll tax research to ensure compliance with Canadian legislation.
- Liaise with government departments on behalf of clients to resolve issues and ensure all paperwork and remittances are completed.
- Participate in ongoing internal and/or external continuing education activities to stay up-to-date with changes in payroll legislation and regulations.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of expatriate payroll experience, with a strong understanding of Canadian payroll legislation and regulations.
- Year-end experience with tax form production, CRA, and MRQ.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task in a deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to establish and maintain strong client relationships.
- Intermediate PC computing experience and understanding of MS office applications.
