International Payroll Tax Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled International Payroll Tax Manager to join our team at KPMG Canada. As a key member of our global mobility team, you will be responsible for providing expert payroll tax advice and support to our clients.
About the Role
This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for preparing Canadian payroll remittances, processing and reviewing client payrolls, and providing payroll tax research and advisory services.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and plan expatriate payroll compliance needs of clients
- Process and/or review full cycle processing of multiple, medium to high complexity client payrolls in a timely and accurate manner
- Prepare payroll gross-up tax calculations
- Conduct and present payroll tax research
- Provide payroll tax advisory on various payroll topics
- Liaise and resolve issues with government departments on behalf of clients
- Ensure all paperwork and remittances are completed
- Produce and/or review year-end tax form production for all payroll compliance
- Participate in ongoing internal and/or external continuing education activities
Requirements
- 2+ years of expatriate payroll experience
- Year-end experience with tax form production, CRA, MRQ
- Knowledge of legislation that governs payroll in Canada
- Dedication and motivation to achieve high standards of client service and professionalism
- Strong sense of organization, attention to detail, time management, and ability to multi-task
- Ability to establish and maintain strong client relations
- Accurate data entry skills required
- Intermediate PC computing experience and understanding of MS office applications
- Excellent communication skills and proven ability to work independently or in a team environment
