Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled International Payroll Tax Manager to join our team at KPMG Canada. As a key member of our global mobility team, you will be responsible for providing expert payroll tax advice and support to our clients.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for preparing Canadian payroll remittances, processing and reviewing client payrolls, and providing payroll tax research and advisory services.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Organize and plan expatriate payroll compliance needs of clients
  2. Process and/or review full cycle processing of multiple, medium to high complexity client payrolls in a timely and accurate manner
  3. Prepare payroll gross-up tax calculations
  4. Conduct and present payroll tax research
  5. Provide payroll tax advisory on various payroll topics
  6. Liaise and resolve issues with government departments on behalf of clients
  7. Ensure all paperwork and remittances are completed
  8. Produce and/or review year-end tax form production for all payroll compliance
  9. Participate in ongoing internal and/or external continuing education activities

Requirements

  1. 2+ years of expatriate payroll experience
  2. Year-end experience with tax form production, CRA, MRQ
  3. Knowledge of legislation that governs payroll in Canada
  4. Dedication and motivation to achieve high standards of client service and professionalism
  5. Strong sense of organization, attention to detail, time management, and ability to multi-task
  6. Ability to establish and maintain strong client relations
  7. Accurate data entry skills required
  8. Intermediate PC computing experience and understanding of MS office applications
  9. Excellent communication skills and proven ability to work independently or in a team environment
