Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager, Distribution to lead our Distribution operations in a high growth environment. This role is responsible for creating a service-focused, efficient, and cost-effective distribution center that supports our Ecommerce, Retail, and Wholesale business channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, including inbound receiving, order fulfillment, and inventory integrity in our automated environment.
  • Support the rapid scaling of our business with a service-oriented approach, while ensuring operational controls and discipline are in place.
  • Ensure efficient and cost-effective operations with a balance between high efficiency rates and a superior service level for all business channels.
  • Effectively communicate and work cross-functionally with key internal and external partners, including Logistics, Planners, Dealers, and Customer Service Representatives.
  • Build effective relationships with cross-functional partners in Planning, Logistics, and Finance.
  • Set challenging productivity targets and enroll the team to achieve them, maintaining performance metrics for the department and reporting results to Senior Management regularly.
  • Hold Supervisors and Team Leaders accountable to operational goals/metrics and maintain data depicting all set key-performance indicators.
  • Coach and develop Managers, Supervisors, and Team Leaders in the Distribution Centre.
  • Foster an environment of open communication where people feel comfortable sharing feedback for maximum engagement.
  • Ensure staffing levels meet work commitments through proactive labor management and forecasting.
  • Support in developing the annual operating budget and ensure operational performance goals are met within prescribed cost, revenue, and profit parameters.
  • Implement industry-compliant health and safety practices and create a safe and fun work environment at all times.
  • Support with other strategic projects and assignments as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or other equivalent discipline.
  • 8+ years' experience in Distribution centre leadership, distribution automation, apparel, or retail operations.
  • Proven leadership capabilities with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Strong communication skills and change management expertise.
  • Strong financial and budgeting skills.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and security practices at commercial/industrial facilities.
  • Flexibility and understanding of the cyclical needs of the Retail & Apparel business, including weekends and evenings as required to meet company objectives.
  • Excellent decision-making and problem-resolution skills.
  • Upbeat, optimistic, and passionate about work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to set a clear vision, align the team around common objectives, and foster commitment to these objectives.
  • Proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions.
  • Ability to inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement.

  • Leading/developing/building a best-in-class Distribution team.
  • Working cross-functionally to scale ahead of Arc'teryx's amazing growth.

Salary Range

$122,000 - $152,000 a year. A reasonable estimate of the pay range is $122,000 CAD at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education, and/or training. Please note that the range details above reflect the base pay only and do not include our competitive bonus program and benefits that we offer.
