Bakery Assistant Job Description

Cobs Bread Riverbend is seeking a detail-oriented and physically capable Bakery Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and assisting with daily bakery operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with purchases and answering questions about products.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment by restocking shelves, sweeping and mopping floors, and keeping the bakery area clean.
  • Assist with daily bakery operations, including receiving and stocking inventory, and preparing products for sale.
  • Operate a cash register and process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and demands.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a retail or customer service environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and demands.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
