Bakery Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Bakery Assistant to join our team at COBS Bread Harvest Pointe. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and assisting with daily bakery operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, making recommendations, and resolving customer concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the bakery area, by following our cleaning and sanitation procedures.
  • Assist with daily bakery operations, including receiving and stocking inventory, preparing baked goods for display, and operating bakery equipment.
  • Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, including handling cash, credit card transactions, and operating a point-of-sale system.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
