Herschel Supply Co. is seeking a skilled Sales Associate to join our dynamic Retail team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and creating a memorable shopping experience for our customers.
A Day in the Life
As a Sales Associate, you will be working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment that values collaboration, open-mindedness, and imagination. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Welcome and engage with customers, providing a positive and personalized shopping experience.
- Stay up-to-date on product knowledge and features to assist customers with their queries and make recommendations.
- Effectively communicate the benefits and value of our products to customers.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of in-store stock availability, both on the sales floor and in the backroom.
- Ensure the store appearance is maintained, with merchandise stocked and organized, and the store is clean and well-presented.
- Receive and process stock from the warehouse, including unpacking, scanning, counting, and tagging as required.
- Assist with re-stocking and pricing duties, including sale preparation as needed.
- Ensure items from the change rooms are returned to their designated area, sized and tagged.
- Complete assigned clean-up duties.
- Utilize the Point-of-Sale system and Mobile Point of Sale System to process payments, refunds, and exchanges.
- Stay informed about new product launches, trends, and initiatives.
- Participate in staff training and store events as required.
About You
- You are an upbeat, passionate, and friendly individual who is comfortable working in a team-focused environment.
- You have a natural ability to build relationships and are comfortable working with customers to resolve any service issues.
- You are a skilled communicator who can effectively sell the features, advantages, and benefits of our products to customers.
- You are able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, holidays, and special events.
- You are eager to develop new skills and are responsive to feedback.
- You are results-oriented and process-driven, with high expectations of yourself and your team.
Availability
We expect all part-time employees to be available for opening and closing shifts a minimum of three times per week. All employees must be available at least one full weekend day. Part-time is 25 hours or less per week. However, depending on customer volume, we can allocate full-time hours to support the business. This is a seasonal position, September - November / December, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
Hourly Wage
$18.40 per hour, depending on experience.
