The Security team's mission is to strengthen Okta's position as a leading Identity-as-a-Service solutions provider by identifying and resolving risks to employees, products, and customers. With the rapid pace of cloud application adoption, companies struggle to accurately assess risk and act at their business speed.

As an Enterprise Identity Solutions Expert, you will be a key member of Okta's Identity and Access Management team, supporting the development of a world-class Enterprise Identity service that empowers and secures Okta's business. You will collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders on complex, high-impact identity security projects utilizing industry-leading identity and security concepts, models, and practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the implementation of our Identity and Access Management roadmap by gathering requirements, advising best practices, documenting processes, and supporting engineering capabilities.
  • Partner deeply with security counterparts to implement identity and access management best practices, securing Okta against Identity-related threats.
  • Guide internal customers through project lifecycles, serving as a conduit between business and technical delivery teams.
  • Own, write, and review requirements with business partners; negotiate detailed requirements and solution design trade-offs.
  • Define and implement business processes, dashboards, use cases, and documentation to ensure a robust and durable program.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for the team to reference and share with internal customers.
  • Enable the engineering team to focus on technical implementation by providing clear requirements, setting expectations, and understanding technology capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years' experience in technical, business, and/or IT roles with a focus on Identity and Access Management.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing enterprise identity solutions.
  • Knowledge of general industry IAM concepts and best practices, particularly Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) and Privileged Access Management (PAM).
  • Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks such as NIST/FedRamp, SOX, SOC, ISO, SOC2, PCI, ZeroTrust, SaaS Security Framework, Data Security Foundations, etc.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences, verbally and in writing.
  • Experience with software quality assurance and testing.
  • Experience managing numerous, competing demands from stakeholders while maintaining excellent and on-time delivery.
  • Exhibit strong leadership and influencing skills in a complex, matrix environment and demonstrate ability to broker agreements among diverse, differing, or competing priorities and perspectives.
  • Confidence working within agile methodologies.
  • Okta Workforce, Okta Customer, and/or CIDPro certifications strongly preferred.
  • Other security or analyst certifications are desirable (please list yours).
