Experienced Family Law Specialist Wanted for Top Ottawa Firm

Are you a seasoned professional looking to take your career to the next level in family law? We are seeking a highly skilled Family Law specialist to join our team at TAG HR in downtown Ottawa.
About the RoleThis is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated and experienced Family Lawyer to work with a wide range of clients, handling complex family law matters, including litigations, negotiations, and contract management. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert legal advice, creating strong connections with clients, and contributing to a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Litigate family law matters, including preparing for, arguing, and attending conferences, motions, trials, and other proceedings.
- Negotiate, draft, review, and manage various family law contracts and pleadings, such as domestic contracts, applications, answers, conference briefs, motion materials, and more.
- Create lasting relationships with clients through excellent communication and service skills.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
- Contribute to a dynamic and supportive team environment.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- At least 5+ years of experience as a Family Law specialist.
- A good standing membership with the Law Society of Ontario.
- A passion for family law and staying up-to-date on industry developments.
- Comfort and experience in court proceedings.
- Strong analytical and drafting skills to assess complex issues.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to provide effective legal advice on high-stakes matters.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Bilingualism in English and French is an asset.
