Are you a seasoned Family Lawyer seeking a challenging opportunity to handle a diverse range of family law cases? Our client, a well-established and reputable law firm in the National Capital Region, is looking for an experienced Family Law Specialist with 5+ years of experience in Ontario.
About the Opportunity:
This full-time, on-site role offers the chance to work alongside our legal team to provide comprehensive legal services to clients. As a Family Law Specialist, you will represent clients in various family law matters, including divorce, child custody and access, spousal support, property division, and adoption. You will also communicate regularly with clients, updating them on case progress and managing expectations.
About You:
To be considered for this position, you will need:
- At least 5 years of experience as a Family Lawyer in Ontario
- Active licensure to practice law in Ontario, in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills, resulting in positive client outcomes
- A high degree of organization, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team
- Availability to work on-site in downtown Ottawa
About the Role:
In this role, you will:
- Collaborate with our legal team to provide expert legal services to clients
- Represent clients in family law cases, utilizing your knowledge of Ontario's family law statutes and precedents
- Communicate effectively with clients, ensuring they are informed and satisfied throughout the process
- Stay up-to-date on changes and developments in family law, allowing you to provide exceptional legal advice and representation
- Prepare and argue cases in family court, leveraging your expertise and knowledge of the law
