We are seeking a skilled Drywall Finisher to join our team at Wall Expert Drywall Ltd. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for applying successive coats of compound and sanding seams and joints to ensure a smooth finish.

Responsibilities:
  • Apply coats of compound and sand seams and joints to achieve a smooth finish
  • Clean and prepare surfaces for plastering
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
  • Fills joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife
  • Mix plaster ingredients to the desired consistency
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coats to dry
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound
  • Attach metal or gypsum lath to studs or furring
  • Cut openings in lath for heating and ventilation piping, ducts, and electrical outlets
  • Install corner beads and wire mesh around beams to which plaster is to be applied
  • Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience an asset
  • Ability to work at heights, in dusty and noisy environments
  • Commercial, residential, rural, and urban work settings
  • Willingness to relocate
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Work Environment:
