Drywall Finisher Job Description

Dhillon Drywall Inc. is seeking a skilled Drywall Finisher to join our team. As a Drywall Finisher, you will be responsible for applying, leveling, and smoothing coats of plaster to ensure a smooth finish.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare tenders and quotations for drywall projects
  • Apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster to achieve a high-quality finish
  • Clean and prepare surfaces for plaster application
  • Finish corners and angles, and create decorative designs in the finish coat, if required
  • Mix plaster ingredients to the desired consistency
  • Mould and install ornamental plaster panels, cornices, and trim
  • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists
  • Attach metal or gypsum lath to studs or furring
  • Install corner beads and wire mesh around beams to which plaster is to be applied
Work Environment:

The work environment for this role will be dusty, and you will be required to work in a commercial, residential, or rural area setting.

Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in drywall finishing, or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, standing for extended periods, and meeting tight deadlines
  • Ability to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
