Drywall Finisher

At Mattali Drywall, we are seeking a skilled Drywall Taper to join our team. As a Drywall Taper, you will be responsible for applying successive coats of compound and sanding seams and joints to ensure a smooth finish.
Key Responsibilities:- Apply coats of compound to drywall surfaces
- Sand seams and joints to achieve a smooth finish
- Clean and prepare surfaces for finishing
- Cure freshly plastered surfaces
- Install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
- Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound
- Finish corners and angles, and create decorative designs in the finish coat
- Mix plaster ingredients to the desired consistency
- Smooth out excess compound and allow the coat to dry
- Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound
As a Drywall Taper, you will work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages, and in a variety of work settings, including commercial, industrial, and residential locations.
Requirements:- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
- Ability to work at heights and in a dusty environment
- Manual dexterity and ability to handle heavy loads
- Physically demanding work, requiring standing for extended periods and repetitive tasks
- Free parking available
- Permanent employment
- 35 hours per week
- English language of work
