Position Details

This position is part of a fast-paced moulding facility and falls under union jurisdiction. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively within a team environment and possess strong problem-solving skills. They must be self-motivated and capable of handling multiple tasks on a daily basis with excellent organization, communication, and time management abilities. This role operates during afternoon hours from 3:00 pm until 11:00 pm.

Responsibilities
  • Perform daily and monthly maintenance, improvements, repairs, modifications on moulds and auxiliary equipment;
  • Verify critical information on Work Orders and drawings;
  • Operate machinery such as lathes, milling machines, surface grinders, welding equipment, and radial drilling machines independently;
  • Maintain hot runner systems;
  • Ensure tools and fixtures are available at the workplace for proper maintenance;
  • Design and manufacture End of Arms Tools;
  • Cultivate knowledge in robots, injection moulding machines, and their auxiliary equipment;
  • Repair texture surfaces.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Graduate of Mechanical or Industrial Engineering Program or equivalent;
  • Hold a ticket in Mould/Tool and Die Making;
  • Prior experience in an injection moulding facility;
  • Forklift and crane license;
  • Electrical, hydraulic, and hot runners experience considered an asset;
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills;
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
