Job Summary

The Medical Leader role is a key opportunity to provide leadership and direction to physicians and other healthcare providers on quality and patient safety initiatives. You will work with fellow physician leaders and other clinical staff to promote physician engagement and capacity building in quality improvement, and will collaborate with senior leadership and staff to identify evidence-based strategies to ensure best practice at the site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide local site leadership to physicians and other healthcare providers on quality and patient safety initiatives.
  • Work in collaboration with the clinical quality and patient safety department, senior leadership, department leaders, regional leaders and support systems to establish patient care models that are evidence-based and increase the safety of patients, clinicians and other staff.
  • Identify quality improvement learning needs, and participate in educational activities aimed at developing physician skills in clinical quality and patient safety.
  • Facilitate physician participation in patient safety activities.
