Job Responsibilities

Reporting to the Financial Director, the Chief Accountant for Transactional Services is responsible for managing the accounts payable and receivable transactions team.

  • Task Management: Set priorities, ensure tasks are completed within the expected timeframe, and measure results.
  • Financial Analysis: Perform end-of-month analyses and participate in the reconciliation of year-end reports.
  • Reporting: Prepare monthly and weekly management reports for management, including cash collection reports and department performance indicators.
  • Compliance: Supervise the performance of corporate and compliance activities, including taxes, deposits, provisionals, tax returns, etc.
  • Process Improvement: Ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of transactional processes.
  • Collaboration: Establish and maintain relationships with operations and payroll managers to ensure quality inputs for financial statements and cash management.
  • Process Optimization: Make improvements to the period-end process and ensure compliance with the financial statement release schedule.
  • Financial Analysis and Planning: Participate in the production of financial analyses and dashboards, the budget process, and the establishment of cost prices.
  • Year-End Process: Participate in the year-end process and collaborate in the preparation of the year-end audit.
  • Team Leadership: Act as a resource person for the team and managers of the department.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting with at least 1 year of experience or DEC in accounting with 5 to 7 years of experience.
  • In-depth mastery of accounting principles.
  • Good leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to solve problems effectively.
  • Good command of accounting software and computer tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
