About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transformational Educational Leader to join our team as a Principal and Vice Principal at School District #8 (Kootenay Lake). As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in shaping the educational experience for our students and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of educators to provide high-quality educational programs and services to students
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to improve student achievement and well-being
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and community partners to build strong relationships and promote student success
  • Manage budgets and resources to ensure effective use of district funds
  • Provide coaching and professional development opportunities to support teacher growth and improvement
  • Stay up-to-date with educational trends, research, and best practices to inform instructional decisions
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Educational Leadership or related field
  • Valid British Columbia Professional Teaching Certificate
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in educational leadership or administration
  • Proven track record of improving student achievement and well-being
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including teachers, staff, parents, and community members
