We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) with expertise in wound, ostomy, and continence care to join our team as a Wound and Ostomy Consultant.

The Role:

As a Wound and Ostomy Consultant, you will work with patients in our clinics and community settings, providing expert consultation and education on wound and ostomy care. You will also collaborate with healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes, leveraging your knowledge of assessment, prevention, and interventions related to wound infections and ostomy care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and manage wounds and ostomies using evidence-based practices
  • Develop and implement comprehensive care plans tailored to individual patient needs
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination
  • Provide education and training to patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of patient care

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current RN diploma from an accredited institution
  • Registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Graduation from a recognized program for Nurses Specialized in Wound, Ostomy & Continence (NSWOCC)
  • Several years of experience managing wounds and ostomies
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for travel
