Job Title: Drug Addiction Worker

Vilavi Canada is seeking a skilled and compassionate Drug Addiction Worker to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals struggling with addiction and substance abuse.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic professional to work in a dynamic environment, providing guidance, support, and resources to clients. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of addiction and recovery principles, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare reports and case histories to track client progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Conduct social research to inform program development and service delivery.
  • Implement life skills workshops and provide individualized support to clients.
  • Assess client needs and eligibility for specific services, and refer them to community and social services programs as needed.
  • Liaise with clients' families and contacts in the community to ensure comprehensive support.
  • Develop and coordinate the delivery of specific services within the community, including crisis intervention and suicide prevention.
  • Provide guidance and support to clients with special needs, and accompany them to appointments and social outings.
  • Plan intervention programs and develop strategies to promote client engagement and motivation.
Requirements:
  • Certification in Canadian Addiction Counsellors Certification.
  • Developmental services worker (DSW) Training.
  • Intensive behavioural intervention Certification.
  • Relationship development intervention (RDI) training.
  • CPR Certificate.
