About the Role

Vilavi Canada is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate professional to join our team as a Drug Addiction Worker. This is a permanent position that requires a strong commitment to supporting individuals struggling with addiction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and case histories to inform treatment plans.
  • Administer administrative and office activities to ensure seamless operations.
  • Assess clients' needs and eligibility for specific services, providing personalized support and guidance.
  • Conduct social research to identify effective interventions and strategies.
  • Develop and implement life skills workshops to empower clients.
  • Refer clients to community and social services programs to promote holistic support.
  • Liaise with clients' families and contacts to foster a supportive network.
  • Assess clients' relevant skill strengths and development needs, informing targeted interventions.
  • Conduct follow-up assessments to monitor progress and adjust treatment plans.
  • Develop, coordinate, and implement the delivery of specific services within the community.
  • Provide suicide and crisis intervention, ensuring clients receive timely and effective support.
  • Resolve conflict situations with sensitivity and professionalism.
  • Assist clients with special needs, promoting inclusivity and accessibility.
  • Accompany clients to appointments and social outings, providing emotional support and companionship.
  • Plan intervention programs to address specific client needs.
Requirements
  • Certification in Canadian Addiction Counselling.
  • Developmental Services Worker (DSW) Training.
  • Intensive Behavioural Intervention Certification.
  • Relationship Development Intervention (RDI) Training.
  • CPR Certificate.
  • Confidential security clearance and criminal record check.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility, initiative, and a strong team player attitude.
