Director of Senior Living Communities

As the Executive Director of Operations, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day functioning of our senior living communities. This includes overseeing financial management, occupancy, resident support, employee relations, and building strong relationships with our support services team.
Key Responsibilities- Talent Management
- Develop and lead a high-performing team of managers and front-line employees, including sourcing, selecting, and onboarding key talent.
- Establish and implement site-level vision, mission, values, and organizational strategies.
- Drive results through others by setting clear goals and expectations.
- Plan for growth and succession by developing a pipeline of future leaders.
- Foster a diverse, employer-of-choice culture that embodies our commitment to excellence.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to team members.
- Conduct performance evaluations and promote team building and engagement.
- Operational Excellence
- Ensure compliance with provincial legislation and accreditation standards.
- Interact with residents to resolve inquiries in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
- Comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, and Workplace Hazardous Material Information System.
- Financial Management
- Create and implement budgets that drive results.
- Analyze data and financial statements to inform decision-making.
- Establish targets and drive results through effective financial management.
- Relationship Building
- Inspire a positive culture among families, residents, and employees.
- Forge strong partnerships with external stakeholders and suppliers to advance organizational priorities.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in property management or a relevant diploma or degree program in healthcare administration or hospitality.
- Experience in a retirement setting is preferred.
- Completion of CPR and First Aid is an asset.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with peers, residents, visitors, and operational partners.
