About the Role

The Executive Director, Indigenous Health Collaborative Council is a pivotal position that oversees and implements the Fraser Partnership Accord to improve the health outcomes of Indigenous people living in the Fraser Health Region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develops strategies and objectives of the Fraser Partnership Accord in collaboration with the IHCC.
  • Engages with key audiences, including IHCC members, Fraser Health employees, First Nations Health Authority, Métis Nation British Columbia, and other executive and senior leaders.
  • Provides advice and consultation on organizational structure and utilization of human and financial capital.
  • Develops consolidated vision, including strategic and planning, development and coordination of related resources within the service areas.
  • Provides short and long-term planning to identify required operating and capital expenditures in alignment with the Fraser Partnership Accord.
  • Represents and holds the authority to make binding commitments on behalf of and at the direction of IHCC Co-Chairs and other assigned sub-committees and/or projects.
  • Leads and collaborates with Fraser Health Authority, First Nation Health Authority, MNBC senior staff for the advancement and implementation of IHCC strategic priorities.
  • Provides project oversight and leadership to large, complex planning projects and major initiatives.
  • Accountable for the development of and implementation of short-and long-term goals and strategic work plans.
  • Directs financial management, budgeting and reporting with respect to departmental administration, operation and projects.
  • Provides overall leadership, direction and supervision to the department.
  • Manages human resources to support the administration and implementation of Fraser Partnership Accord priorities.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, or Public Health, or field related to health care management.
  • More than ten (10) years' recent, related experience including five (5) years' experience in progressively senior leadership role(s).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Indigenous health care needs, services and issues.
  • Expert knowledge and understanding of community-based services such as community health centres, Indigenous service providers and traditional healers.
  • Experience in contributing to building revenue and expense budgets, forecasting and resource development.
  • Experience in leading productive communications and group facilitation.
  • Experience in community engagement.
