About the Role:

GEMTEC Consulting Engineers & Scientists Limited is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Project Coordinator/Quality Manager to support our Unexploded Explosive Ordnance (UXO) department in our Fredericton, NB office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Alternate Company Security Officer (ACSO), responsible for initiating and reviewing security clearance applications and maintaining the company's registration in the Federal Contract Securities Program.
  • Company Designated Official for the Federal Controlled Goods program, facilitating and carrying out security assessments for UXO staff.
  • Maintain GEMTEC's certification for the Federal Controlled Goods program.
  • Manage timecard and expense entries for a high volume of employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Review and carry out Quality Control checks on UXO field reports.
  • Coordinate flight arrangements for employees, including booking flights, hotels, transportation, and managing travel itineraries.
  • Draft and issue employee contracts, ensuring all necessary terms and conditions are included and accurately documented.
  • Confirm and coordinate new hire paperwork and onboarding documents.
  • Provide administrative support to various departments as needed.
  • Assist with special projects and initiatives as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Certificate in Business Administration, Science, Engineering, Environmental, or related field preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
