About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer - Building Science Specialist to join our team at RDH Building Science Inc. This is a unique opportunity to work with a leading consulting firm in the field of building science engineering, architecture, and construction management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver building enclosure projects, including investigations, design, construction document preparation, and field review.
  • Act as the day-to-day client contact for projects from investigation to construction documents, tendering, submittal review, and quality assurance reviews on site.
  • Assess and determine solutions to assist clients in ensuring excellent building enclosure performance on various building types, including existing and new buildings.
  • Review work prepared by junior staff, mentor, and train junior staff on field review, testing, and documentation tasks.
  • Manage project financial performance, technical quality, staff resourcing, scheduling, and client satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Applied Science, or Architecture required; Master's degree in a related field an asset.
  • 7+ years of experience in building science consulting; 2+ years of project management experience.
  • Significant field experience addressing site conditions and working with the construction process.
  • Intermediate technical knowledge of building enclosure design and construction principles, including local building codes.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey technical information to clients, trades, employees, and project managers.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills and investigative aptitude to troubleshoot and diagnose building performance issues.
What We Offer

RDH Building Science Inc. offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $100,000 annualized for a full-time role, as well as benefits, including GRSP contributions, Health and Dental coverage, Primary Caregiver benefits, Vacation and Sick Time, Statutory Holiday substitutions, and a learning fund of $1,000 per year for education or career goals.
