Job Title: Deli Clerk

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Deli Clerk to join our team at our Hawkstone Food Store in Edmonton, AB.

Job Summary

The Deli Clerk will be responsible for providing prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable service to customers at the Ice Cream Station/Deli Counter. This includes packaging, wrapping, and labeling prepared foods, meats, cheeses, and other deli items. The successful candidate will also be responsible for maintaining a display of deli products, ensuring facing, filling, and organization of products meets company standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service and respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Package, wrap, and label prepared foods, meats, cheeses, and other deli items.
  • Maintain a display of deli products, ensuring facing, filling, and organization of products meets company standards.
  • Monitor case temperature, clean equipment, and workspaces.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
  • Exceptionally strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  • Enthusiastic approach to work.
  • Efficient and accurate when working in a busy environment.
  • Ability to handle all deli meats and products.
  • Previous retail experience preferred.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
