Job Summary:

We are seeking a part-time Deli Clerk to join our team at our Hawkstone Food Store in Edmonton, AB. The successful candidate will provide prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable service to customers at the Ice Cream Station/Deli Counter, package and label prepared foods, meats, cheeses, and other deli items, and maintain a display of deli products ensuring facing, filling, and organization of products meets company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service and respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Package and label prepared foods, meats, cheeses, and other deli items to meet customer needs.
  • Maintain a clean and organized deli area, including the Ice Cream Station and surrounding areas.
  • Monitor case temperature and ensure that all products are stored and displayed at the correct temperature.
  • Perform other duties as required to ensure the smooth operation of the deli department.

Requirements:

  • Exceptional interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  • Enthusiastic approach to work and a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Previous retail experience an asset.
