Job Summary

Communauto inc. is seeking an Expert in Automobile Claims to join our team. As an Expert in Automobile Claims, you will play a crucial role in evaluating, analyzing, and managing insurance claims. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that claims are resolved fairly and efficiently, providing excellent support to our customers throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Treating Claims: Investigate, evaluate, and process automobile insurance claims, adhering to company policies.
  • Examining Policies: Review insurance policies, endorsements, and related documents to determine coverage and applicability to specific claims.
  • Damages Evaluation: Collaborate with assessors, repair shops, and other experts to evaluate vehicle damage and determine repair costs, ensuring accurate assessments.
  • Communication and Relationship Management: Provide exceptional customer service by effectively communicating with insured parties, financial institutions, and other stakeholders at various stages of the claims process.
  • File Preparation: Prepare claims files, attaching all required information and ensuring timely transmission.
  • Negotiation and Settlement: Negotiate with involved parties to achieve fair settlements.
  • Billing: Bill non-insured parties for applicable amounts.
  • File Tracking and Management: Ensure timely and efficient claims processing, maintaining accurate and complete files.
  • Process and Procedure Development: Continuously improve processes and tools to optimize efficiency. Develop expertise in insurance claim procedures issued by credit card issuers and share knowledge by providing support and training to other team members.
  • Statistics and Data: Prepare reports on claims status, trends, and performance metrics to support management decision-making.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Insurance Claims, or a related field.
  • Certification as an Automobile Claims Expert (an asset).
  • Practical experience in claims handling, preferably in the automobile or property sector.
  • Experience or in-depth knowledge of insurance policies offered by credit card issuers.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Interest in training and development.
  • Ability to work independently, structured, and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in computer software.
