Job Description
This role involves working as a Data Student at RBC Technology & Operations, where you will have the chance to contribute to various projects and teams. Your primary responsibilities will include analyzing, designing, delivering, and implementing analytic development projects using RBC's analytics tools.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this position, you will need:
- CURRENTLY ENROLLED AT A CANADIAN POST-SECONDARY INSTITUTION WITH A FOCUS ON DATA SCIENCE, COMPUTER SCIENCE, MATHEMATICS, STATISTICS, MACHINE LEARNING
- Leadership acumen and a passion to apply it in a dynamic business environment
- EXCELLENT INTERPERSONAL AND HIGHLY DEVELOPED COMMUNICATION SKILLS (VERBAL AND WRITTEN)
- A CREATIVE AND ANALYTICAL THINKER WHO IS SELF-DRIVEN AND CAPABLE OF WORKING IN A FAST-PACED ENVIRONMENT
- Experience or understanding of open-source software frameworks (Hadoop), data visualization tools (Tableau and Splunk), and databases (SQL and/or VBA)
- Programming skills in one or more languages (ex. Python, R)
- The ability to extract, transform, and load processes with a variety of data types
- The ability to perform complex data analysis on large volumes of data and present findings to stakeholders
