Position Summary

This Full-time Demi Chef de Partie role is responsible for executing menu item production, adhering to all company standards and safety policies while contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, pre-cook, cook and present menu items in a timely manner, adhering to standardized recipes.
  • Prepare mise en place of foods, garnishes, sauces, dishes, cutlery and other products for high-volume production.
  • Clean kitchen equipment after use, following health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Receive, label, date, store and rotate stock in appropriate storage areas.
  • May take orders over the counter at some locations.
  • Assist with month-end inventories as directed.
  • Attend culinary meetings as required.
  • Liaise and communicate effectively with operational departments.
  • Develop strong working relationships with stakeholders: guests, ownership and team members.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations.

Education and Qualifications

  • High School Diploma; culinary education an asset.
  • Minimum 2 years of culinary experience.
  • Red Seal certification through ITA or current enrollment an asset.
  • Food Safety Certification.
  • POS and cash handling experience (if necessary).

Work Environment Considerations

The Full-time Demi Chef de Partie will work in a regular kitchen environment, standing and walking for long periods of time, with non-traditional work hours.
