About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team at Markline Transport Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure it is in good working order.
  • Logistics and Operations: Load and unload goods, operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, and perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Safety and Security: Ensure the safety and security of cargo by tarping and inspecting it regularly.
Requirements
  • Certifications and Licenses: Air Brake (Z) Endorsement and Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Physical Demands: Ability to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Work Conditions: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a large workload and attention to detail.
