Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

Lodex Transport Ltd. is seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods and materials across the country.
  • Obtain necessary permits and documents to transport cargo on international routes.
  • Operate and maintain the vehicle, including performing pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections.
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle and ensure all equipment is in good working order.
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs and maintain accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, and fuel consumption.
  • Communicate with central dispatch and relay information as necessary.
  • Ensure the safety and security of cargo, including tarping and handling dangerous goods.
Requirements:
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
Work Environment:

As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be working in a fast-paced environment, often away from home for extended periods. You will be required to work in a variety of weather conditions and may be exposed to hazardous materials.
