Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Managing Director, Lead Financial Officer, Corporate Revenue to join our team at BMO Financial Group. As a key member of our Corporate Revenue team, you will be responsible for developing and executing financial strategies that drive business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed financial and economic analysis to support business decision-making
  • Work closely with business leaders and finance partners to provide financial advice and service
  • Monitor and manage financial performance against plans, forecasts, and objectives
  • Generate information and insights that support key business decisions
  • Foster a culture aligned to BMO's purpose, values, and strategy
  • Ensure alignment between values and behavior that fosters diversity and inclusion
  • Attract, retain, and enable the career development of top talent
  • Improve team performance, recognize and reward performance, coach employees, and manage poor performance
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders for making business decisions and implementing strategic initiatives
  • Network with industry contacts to gather competitive insights and best practices
  • Manage resources and lead the execution of accounting, risk, and regulatory-related strategic initiatives
  • Define business requirements for analytics and reporting to ensure data insights inform business decision-making
  • Assess and adapt as needed to ensure quality of execution
  • Perform variance analyses and ad-hoc forward-looking analyses to improve understanding of business drivers and opportunities to improve performance
  • Support the development of methodologies and policies to enable analyses and insights focused on financial dimensions
  • Assess reasonableness of business cases and perform due-diligence during investment reviews and approvals processes
  • Work with the business to align key performance indicators with financial forecasts and plans
  • Break down strategic problems and analyze data and information to provide financial insights and recommendations
  • Integrate information from multiple sources to enable more efficient processes, enhanced analysis, and/or streamlined reporting
  • Monitor and track performance and address any issues
  • Recommend and implement solutions based on analysis of issues and implications for the business

Requirements:

  • Typically 9+ years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Technical leader viewed as a thought leader for innovation
  • Able to manage ambiguity
  • Data-driven decision-making expert
