Job Summary:

GFL Environmental is seeking a skilled Hydrovac Operator to support our Commercial lines of business out of our Bradford site. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for operating Vacuum/Hydrovac Trucks, Box Trucks, and Tractor Trailers, as well as performing various tasks such as power washing, high-pressure water blasting, and line snaking.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate Vacuum/Hydrovac Trucks, Box Trucks, and Tractor Trailers.
  • Perform power washing, high-pressure water blasting, and line snaking tasks.
  • Operate Pick-up trucks, utility trailers, forklifts, excavators, bobcats, and other equipment as required.
  • Maintain cleanliness of tools and equipment and industrial services shop.
  • Perform industrial cleaning of chemical non-hazardous and hazardous waste.
  • Collect hazardous and non-hazardous goods.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork and government documents.
  • Dig holes and trenches.
  • Secure open excavation.
  • Operate equipment and tools.
  • Perform site preparation and clean-up as directed.
  • Secure and safely load/unload vehicles with supplies.
  • Secure work area and set up traffic control.

Requirements:
  • Valid DZ or AZ license.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to perform routine vehicle maintenance.
  • Comfortable with 80% labour and 20% driving.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Professional/mature demeanor under stressful situations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Will be required to work both indoors and outdoors.
  • Manual dexterity, ability to lift 75+ lbs required.

Working Hours:
Working hours will be anywhere from around 5:30 AM - 6:30 PM Monday - Friday with on-call requirements once every few months on Saturday.
