About the Role:

GFL Environmental is seeking a skilled Hydrovac Operator to support our Commercial services out of our Bradford site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate Vacuum/Hydrovac Truck for industrial cleaning and excavation services.
  • Operate Box Truck or Tractor Trailer for equipment transportation and logistics.
  • Perform power washing and high-pressure water blasting as required for industrial cleaning services.
  • Conduct line snaking, drain, and pipe inspections as needed for environmental services.
  • Operate a variety of equipment, including pick-up trucks, utility trailers, forklifts, excavators, and bobcats.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of tools and equipment, as well as the Industrial Services Shop.
  • Perform industrial cleaning of chemical non-hazardous and hazardous waste.
  • Collect hazardous and non-hazardous goods.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork and government documents.
  • Dig holes and trenches for excavation services.
  • Secure open excavations and ensure site safety.
  • Operate equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
  • Prepare and clean up sites as directed.
  • Secure and safely load/unload vehicles with supplies.
  • Set up and secure work areas, including traffic control.

Requirements:

  • Valid DZ or AZ license.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to perform routine vehicle maintenance.
  • Comfortable working 80% labour and 20% driving.
  • Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity required.
  • Strong work ethic and professional demeanor under stressful situations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Will be required to work both indoors and outdoors.
  • Overtime as required.
